Kalendář 2027 - Beautiful machines of Czechoslovakia

Wall calendar, 14 sheets, size 480 x 300 mm. I had been carrying the idea of ??a realistic depiction of a vintage car in my head using an ordinary pencil for several years. As a great admirer of Václav Zapadlík's work, I was interested in whether I could achieve something similar. In the autumn days of 2025, a test drawing was finally created. Unlike the colored illustrations in my books, I left the picture black and white, adjusted only the contrast and slightly changed the toning of the black. The result did not look bad. So I got down to work and gradually added motorcycles, an attractor bus to the historic cars. The question remained, however, how to present the drawings. I will not have enough material for a book publication for a long time, each illustration takes a lot of time. However, another option was offered - to have the calendar printed. I hope that you, the readers (are the calendar users actually readers?), will enjoy the pictures of these beautiful old machines as much as I enjoyed drawing them. May they accompany you peacefully into 2027 and may this year be a good one.
